This past October, I was walking around McCarren Park with my good friend Katie. It was a really sunny, beautiful, fall day and we were both reflecting on our summers, which was a tough and long few months for the both of us. But with the new season, we felt a sense of rejuvenation and we both agreed that the new season felt promising. Good things ahead. We felt like the new season was a restart. And at some point during that walk, we thought about how the new year should start in October or May, instead of January. Because... January sucks, right? You wake up the next morning and it’s the same old bullshit. Nothing feels different. Nothing is changing. But in months like October or May, you actually feel and see change all around you.

Lately, I’ve been feeling the same way I did in October. I’ve been feeling and seeing the changes of spring- getting whiffs of pollen and flowers on my walks, feeling the sunlight on my skin. I bought a new pair of sunglasses, a cute new sundress.  Spring is here (thank god) and I am loving it. This playlist is inspired by that feeling- feeling like a new, refreshed person. It’s bright, upbeat, dance-y, head-bob-y. Enjoy!
